I found the Electronic Challenge a great help. I became more aware and more attuned to the State Databases and can see the possibilities for helping patrons. I think the SIRS databases were a great help, as well as Learning Express. There are many possibilites available on the databases for finding information, both to supplement a print reference collection and provide information not otherwise available in the library. For anyone interested in history and South Dakota history, geneaology, etc. there are a wealth of viable resources.
This Challenge happened during a challenging time for our Library staff, as our building was under construction and we've now spent the last two weeks moving into the newly renovated facility! We all helped each other with tips and encouragement during the process and I think we all gained valuable knowledge for ourselves that we can pass on to our patrons!
